Ramsey Commissioners could be installing a type of CCTV to combat dog fouling across the town in the future.
At a public meeting this week, a proposal was made by Lamara Craine to install motion detection cameras to catch and deter dog walkers from not picking up poo – she wanted to allocate £1000 to install ten of them around Ramsey.
However, this was not agreed, and instead a report will be made by officers at the local authority to determine which areas are the worst and what other commissioners and councils are doing to combat the problem.
This will then be used by the board to determine what happens going forward.
