Ramsey Commissioners have objected to a new gallery in the town painting one of the lampposts on Parliament Street.
Pink Seaweed Gallery had hoped to design the post outside, with Commissioner Juan McGuinness saying it would be a 'win win' as the paintwork hasn't been actively maintained.
However, during this month's board meeting the proposal was met by a number of negative comments and was ultimately not voted through.
One member commented that the idea was 'the most ridiculous thing I've heard in all my life,' with another saying it 'wouldn't even enter my realm of thought process.'
