Friends Of Queens Pier Spokesman Says Goverement Only Focus On Douglas
It was agreed upon in Tynwald yesterday that the next stage of development for the Ramsey Queen’s Pier should be a £1.8 million cash injection, which will go on making the structure stable for the foreseeable future.
It was deemed that the overall redevelopment, costing an estimated £9 million was too much money to spend given the current tough economic conditions.
This latest development is sure to be frustrating news for the people of Ramsey who were looking at the Queen's Pier as a cataylst for the rejuvination of the town.
Vice Chairman for Friends of the Queen's Pier, Michael Tramontana has campaigned tirelessly for many years now, he said although the news isn't totally negative he thinks the money could be better spent.
