The Department of Infrastructure says it's closed its quarries to trial bikes after a health and safety review.
A Freedom of Information request asked why Dhoon Quarry had shut as a motorbike facility.
In its response, it says after a review at another quarry, the DOI decided to ban off-road vehicles until it can review the situation.
But it says it doesn't hold any documents about the restrictions.
