A unique sporting contest will be taking place in Laxey this weekend.
The Great Laxey Duck Races are being held on Saturday, September 6 at 2pm.
Organisers say the Clerk of the Course has confirmed conditions are ideal on the river, following an inspection lap.- and the weather forecast is ideal.
Thousands of rubber ducks will be unleashed into the water - tickets are available from JJ Ribbons until the race start, with proceeds going to the Laxey and Lonan Heritage Trust.
