QE2 Teacher Gets Year In Prison
Today at Southwark Crown Court former QE2 Head of English John James Barefield was sentenced to a year in prison after being convicted of two counts of attempting to engage in sexual activity in the presence of a child.
In addition to the sentence Mr Barefield has been disqualified from working with children and placed on the sex offenders’ register for 5 years.
Barefield was caught out in the first instance when he performed the acts thinking the girl at the other end of the webcam was 14, when actually she was a covert Metropolitan Police Officer.
