A Puffin has been saved - all thanks to a local woman and charity.
In a post on social media, The Manx Wild Bird Aid says it's a 'first for the charity' after local lady Lucia gave them a call.
She'd found the bird in bad shape on Douglas Beach on Saturday afternoon.
MWBA says with bird flu an obvious concern - the Puffin was tested but results came back negative.
However, the animal was diagnosed with severe dehydration along with a bad chest infection - and was quickly prescribed antibiotics and intravenous fluids to get the little bird back on his feet.
The charity adds 'just like everyone else' - its feeling the effects of the cost of living crisis - with the price of bird food and essential items increasing.
