A warning has gone out that a scam is currently doing the rounds purporting to be from HSBC bank.
The authentic looking email carries all of the usual logos and official text of usual correspondence from the bank, but upon closer inspection the direct line it urges you to call has no link to the bank.
This latest wave of scams seems to be coming exclusively via email.
If you have any doubts on messages from your bank, you're urged to contact them direct before replying to the initial message.
