The Chief Minister has confirmed that a public consultation on a social media ban for under-16s will take place.
The announcement follows the UK's plans to restrict access to social media platforms for younger people, with the measures expected to be fully implemented by spring 2027.
Speaking in the House of Keys this morning, Alfred Cannan said the government recognises the harm social media can pose to young people.
He added any changes would need to be evidence-based and proportionate, with the views of those affected taken into account:
