Public sector rents on the Island will rise from April next year.
They will increase by 2.1 per cent, equating to a weekly rise between £1.22 and £2.06 depending on property size.
Infrastructure Minister, Ray Harmer, says his department has considered the impact of this 'very deeply', and hopes it 'strikes the correct balance as it reflects the view of most of the local authorities'.
The changes come following a DOI consultation with all 16 local housing authorities.
