Public Health has issued a letter to parents as a child at St Ninians's was admitted to hospital with suspected meningococcal disease.
Government stated no members of the school community are identified as close contacts, and the bacteria 'very rarely spreads from child to child' within class or school.
Meningococcal disease can cause both meningitis and Septicaemia, and the common symptoms include high temperature and rapid breathing.
Anyone who becomes worried about their child's condition should seek urgent medical help, and to remember the relevant vaccines are offered as part of the routine UK schedule.
