An historic building in Douglas could soon be given protected status, if a government department gets its way.
The Department of Environment, Food and Agriculture says it wants to register the Isle of Man Bank building on the corner of Athol Street.
It was designed by Alexander Marshall Mackenzie and built in 1899 at a cost of £3,000.
If the move goes ahead, it would prevent the building being demolished, altered or extended without special permission.
