The promoters, along with Elton John’s management have stated that they will do all they can to make sure the people of the Isle of Man will not be without live music this summer.
The promoters of the Elton John gig scheduled for the 16th June have spoken to 3FM to convey the message to the Manx public that the concert will definitely still go ahead.
The spokesperson from Marshall Arts, the company putting the gig on, started by saying the cancellation of the Bay Festival will have no bearing on their event.
The venue in Nobles Park was going to be the only thing linking the two events, with the Isle of Man Bay Festival now not happening that is going to cause some logistical issues for Marshall Arts.
The promoters, along with Elton John’s management have stated that they will do all they can to make sure the people of the Isle of Man will not be without live music this summer.
They’re currently working with the Douglas Corporation and the Manx Government; along with many of the Island’s supply companies to make sure it will go ahead.
Elton John himself has said he is looking forward to performing his first ever gig on Isle of Man soil.
Tickets will be dispatched next week.
