MP Mark Field Says He Is A Strong Supporter Of The Way The Island Operates
One of the Island’s strongest supporters within Westminster has been on the Island this week.
Mark Field, MP for the Cities of London and Westminster first came to the attention of the Manx Government when he urged his fellow politicians to look to the Isle of Man when considering how to rebalance the UK economy.
It was these comments that led to his invite to be the guest speaker last night at the latest instalment of the Chief Minister's International Lecture Series.
He said that over the past few years the Isle of Man has been subjected to unfair political attacks and misguided criticism, especially in relation to the Island's status as a tax haven.
He told us that he’s now endeavouring to educate his fellow MP’s about the true way the Island operates, and the benefits that this approach could bring.
