A prominent figure in the Island community has announced his candidacy for the local authority elections, to be held in April.
George Campbell is standing for the Murray's Ward position within the Douglas Corporation.
32 year old George is the Community Affairs Manager at Alliance & Leicester, he's also heavily involved in a number of local charities.
Speaking about his election ambitions he says he is confident he has the right skills to represent the ratepayer going forward.
