The knowledge of the man set to lead the governments climate change action plan is 'fundamental' in helping the Island achieve its goals.
That's according to Environment, Food & Agriculture Minister, Geoffrey Boot MHK, after it was confirmed Professor James Curran will chair the Climate Emergency Consultative Transformation Team (CECTT).
Professor Curran will head up a team which will also include MLC Jane Poole-Wilson, MHK Ralph Peake along with government department representatives and climate specialists.
Last month, Tynwald committed to achieving net zero carbon emission on Island by 2050.
