Price of passports to drop

The standard adult 10-year passport has dropped by £5 to £72.50 and a child’s down £3 to £46.

According to the Passport Office the reduction in fees reflects ongoing developments in passport production - the savings of which have been passed on to customers. 

The total fee payable in respect of all other passport services, including express services, remains unchanged.

It's also been confirmed that there will be a new Manx variant of the British passport from next year.

The public are reminded not to confirm any travel arrangements involving a journey outside the British Isles unless they hold a valid passport or are certain a new passport can be obtained before their journey begins.
