The Treasury says it's considering issuing prepaid debit cards to pay benefits to those without a bank account.
A report about long-term payment methods for those affected by the withdrawal of MiCards is due to be laid before Tynwald during its June sitting.
In it, the government says it's considered issuing electronic payment cards, or giving out vouchers which could be cashed in at retailers if people have photographic ID.
Tynwald is due to sit in Legislative Buildings in Douglas from Tuesday, June 16.
