Pre Historic Death Investigated At Manx Museum

A violent death on the Isle of Man 3,000 years ago - that's the latest exhibition at the Manx museum.

During archaeological excavations at Ronaldsway two years ago, the skeleton of a man was found that bore the marks of a violent death.

He had died during the Bronze Age.

The exhibition, starting this weekend, looks at the evidence so far uncovered from the Island to paint a picture of what happened thousands of years ago.

Never seen before artefacts will be put on public display as  Allison Fox Curator of Archaeology for Manx National Heritage explains. (audio above)

The historical remains were discovered when the new runway at Ronaldsway airport was being built.
