Isle of Man Post Office says it won't release any of its emails or messages with courier firm Evri - which could have shown talks about taking over the service.
A Freedom of Information request asked for correspondence between the two bodies from August last year until May.
It's after reports the Post Office will take over Evri's services when the company leaves the Island in September.
In its response, the organisation said it wouldn't release the information because it was commercially sensitive.
