Possible second casino to be located alongside golf course

Landowners and golf course owners being contacted to see if they would be interested in a commercial relationship

The Director of E-Business Development Agency on the Island, Tim Craine, has commented on the possibility of bringing another casino facility to the Isle of Man.

It was announced last week that they are looking for expressions of interest from UK based companies.

Sefton Group hit back at the idea saying it would be unnecessary for the Isle of Man given its relatively small population.

Mr Craine said the plans would be for a casino that attracted the international market and touring poker professionals; saying he feels it wouldn’t damage the existing Palace Casino.

Speaking about a possible location for the development Mr Craine said ideally it would be based alongside a golf course.

With this in mind landowners and golf course owners are being contacted to see if they would be interested in a commercial relationship, but Mr Craine has reiterated that the possible development is only in the very earliest stages.
