Initial work on rebuilding Port St Mary High Street will start next month.
The Department of Infrastructure says contractors will start digging on Monday, December 1.
They're expected to be finished by Friday, December 12, despite works originally having been planned for November.
The DOI says the main part of the roadworks will take place from next spring and last for around six months.
