Port St Mary lifeboat station is to lose its all-weather boat.
Under plans announced by the RNLI, the Henry Heys Duckworth will retire as she comes to the end of her service life - leaving the inshore rescue boat the Frank Martin.
The volunteer organisation says it'll also replace the lifeboat at Douglas station under its lifeboat fleet strategy.
It says the plans will make sure it has appropriate vessels based in the right places to maximise its effectiveness.
