A road in Douglas is set to undergo improvements from next month.
The Department of Infrastructure is planning to carry out a phased revamp of Port-E-Chee Avenue with a road closure applied for to start at 9am on Monday, September 21 with the project expected to take four to five weeks to complete.
The first phase will see the section between Bray Hill and The Crescent upgraded, the second phase between The Crescent and no.82 Port-E-Chee Avenue and the final phase from no.82 to Ballanard Road.
Officials say it's being carried out in a staged process to minimise the impact the scheme will have on residents and it's aimed it'll be finished no later than October 31.
Throughout the works access will be maintained for individual addresses from either end of the street but otherwise the route will be shut to through traffic for the entirety of the programme.
The DOI is also advising on-street parking in the area will be restricted during each phase.
Letters are being sent to residents in the area this week.
