The leader of the Liberal Vannin Party is calling on politicians to remember the promises they made when they were elected.
Peter Karran says MHKs need to stick to the visions set out in their manifestos on which they were voted in.
Today members will vote on whether or not to accept controversial plans to introduce tuition fees for Island students.
If approved it means students will be required to pay at least £2,500 per year towards their education.
The vote is expected to take place at around 5.45pm this evening.
Mr Karran says now is the time to make a stand:
