The chairman of the Water and Sewerage Authority is ‘too busy’ to attend a meeting over the new toilet tax.
That’s according to residents in Peel who are holding the event tonight at the Masonic Hall to discuss their concerns.
The authority is introducing a £50 fee for anyone who has a toilet from April – this is then set to rise significantly a year later.
Peel MHK Tim Crookall will attend the meeting however the Treasury and Chief Minister, who have also been invited, are not expected to be there.
