The chairman of the Water and Sewerage Authority is ‘too busy’ to attend a meeting over the new toilet tax.
That’s according to residents in Peel who are holding the event tonight at the Masonic Hall to discuss their concerns.
The authority is introducing a £50 fee for anyone who has a toilet from April – this is then set to rise significantly a year later.
Peel MHK Tim Crookall will attend the meeting however the Treasury and Chief Minister, who have also been invited, are not expected to be there.
Jeff Birkett called the meeting – he says more discussion is needed before this is brought in:
Ramsey Remembrance service to be marked by maroon rockets
MEDS phone line to be down temporarily
Committee to examine link between poverty and poor academic performance
Police advice for trick-or-treaters to stay safe
How will Manx Care reduce the number of negligence claims?
