Politicians have supported a move to further recognise the status of the Island's red phone boxes.
The matter was brought up in Tynwald this week by Arbory, Castletown & Malew MHK, Jason Moorhouse, as Manx Telecom has put notices on numerous red booths across the Island saying they're considering removing phones from them.
MT says this doesn't necessarily mean the kiosks themselves will be taken away and a consultation will run until the middle of next month.
Mr Moorhouse put forward a motion in the court this week asking for members to recognise the historic value of some of the red kiosks.
Politicians voted in favour of the matter, which also supports plans to re-purpose them where possible.
