A policy consultation will be launched into the collection of rates debts by coroners which will be brought to Tynwald before its summer break.
Treasury Minister Dr Alex Allinson says it’s because there is more than £3 million in unpaid rates.
He says coroners are ‘crucial’ for making sure local authorities receive the rates they should be getting to fund the services they provide:
