The Isle of Man Constabulary has issued a warning about scammers pretending to be from a fraud team.
Residents are receiving calls from a cloned bank number identifying as a fraud team and reporting a booking.com payment issue, tricking customers into giving passwords and parts of their PIN.
Police ensure that banks would never ask for more than 2 digits of a PIN, and if you're unsure as to whether a call from your bank is genuine then you shouldn't give any personal information and end the call.
Any scams or issues can be reported to the Office of Cyber Security and Information Assurance.
