Police are urging people to keep vehicles and properties secure following reports of attempted thefts in Douglas.
The constabulary says it received reports over several days last week of people trying to enter the garages of private homes in the capital with the intent to steal.
As a result, officers are reminding residents to make sure windows, doors and garages are always locked.
Meanwhile, they add vehicles should also be kept secure and keys for them kept away in a safe place.
