Vigilante style attacks on suspected burglars will not be tolerated on the Isle of Man.
That's the message from police who say people using social media to discuss the recent crime spike should do so with caution.
Last weekend a number of burglaries, and attempted burglaries, were reported across the Island - with secure properties being targeted.
