Police are urging members of the public to keep an eye on their oil tanks as yet another case of theft has been reported.
Castletown police are investigating after a large quantity of oil was stolen from a garden in the Janet's Corner Estate.
Officers say a large vehicle would have been used in order to remove the oil.
Sergeant Ged Power says this kind of theft has been a common occurrence over the past few years and is asking homeowners to keep checking the oil in case there is a fault with it before reporting it to the police. (audio above)
