Police are following up a number of lines of enquiry in the hunt for a person who’s been breaking into people’s homes.
The alarm was raised on Tuesday after numerous incidents in the Strang and Union Mills area between lunchtime and midnight.
Letters were put through people’s doors urging them to be vigilant and think about security – officers also conducted house to house enquiries.
Police say there have been no new reports of any incidents since Tuesday but they will be continuing with increased patrols in an effort to reassure the public.
