Police are searching for a 33-year-old man who they want to speak to about a serious assault.
Stefan Proverbs, is of mixed race and has a Manchester accent, and could be living rough.
It's in relation to a incident which took place in a flat on Princes Avenue in Douglas at around 3am on Monday.
A 23-year-old man from Douglas was left needing surgery after being attacked with a bladed object.
Police say despite the serious nature of the case it's not believed that Mr Proverbs is a threat to the wider public.
