Police remain "highly proactive" in stopping drug crime

Police say they will continue to remain "highly proactive" to stop drugs being imported and supplied on the Isle of Man.

On Monday officers seized £67,000 of cannabis from addresses in Douglas following a number of raids.

The operation was led by neighbourhood officers from the central policing team - saying it's "indicative" of the high level of commitment the force has towards organised crime.

A 36-year-old local man has been charged with possession of controlled drugs with intent to supply and will appear at Douglas Courthouse today.
