Police have confirmed the identity of a West Yorkshire man killed in a three-bike crash on the Island this week.
23-year-old Joshua Keith Thornton, of Baildon, died in the collision which happened on the Sloc Road in Colby at around 10.30am on Thursday (June 6).
The Constabulary says specially trained officers are supporting his relatives at this ‘extremely difficult time’.
The other two riders involved in the incident - both Island residents - were transferred to Noble’s Hospital for treatment with one later flown to the UK with serious injuries.
Authorities added whilst enquiries have been ongoing since it happened, they would still like to speak to anyone who may have details of the incident who hasn’t contacted them already.
