The police want to speak to anyone who may have witnessed a crash yesterday.
They say the incident happened at around 5.15pm on the A18 Mountain Road between the 33rd Milestone and Keppel Gate.
Officers believe any vehicles in the area travelling towards Douglas may have seen the incident happen.
