Four young males were seen tampering with boats
Port Erin Police are investigating criminal damage which happened at around 5am on Sunday 21st August.
Two boats in Port Erin harbour had black paint thrown over them.
Four young males were seen tampering with the boats at the time and removing items from them; these items were later recovered from the shore after having been thrown into the sea.
The males are described as two dressed all in black, one wearing a blue, possibly denim jacket, and the other with a grey top. Police were called to the scene but the males fled prior to their arrival.
Police noted footprints within the paint on the boats so it is highly likely that the persons responsible will have paint present on their footwear, and possibly their clothing.
