Police are appealing to people to make sure their properties are secure after a burglary last night.
Between 7.55pm and 8.30pm someone entered an occupied property on Tynwald Road in Willaston using an unlocked side door.
They took items from the kitchen.
Police say the offence was entirely opportunistic and have told people to be vigilant by ensuring all doors, windows, outbuildings and vehicles are secure.
Anyone with information relating to this incident is asked to contact Police Headquarters.
