A new glamping site could be coming to the South of the Island, if planners give the green light.
An application has been submitted to create six glamping huts to be based at Little Gibdale Farm on Bayrauyr Road in St Marks.
Those behind the proposals say, if approved, they would be made up of four 'shepherds hut' style buildings and two disability-friendly roundhouses and believe they'd be ideal for those who enjoy the likes of wildlife and outdoor activities as well as visiting motorsport fans.
They could also be fitted with the likes of underfloor heating, a small woodburning stove, and even hot tubs along with other facilities to add to the experience.
The organisation which has submitted the applications also says the site - which would be known as 'The Wood Snuggery' - would be based just a short distance from local outdoor activities at the South Barrule plantation and would be based in a 'Dark Sky' zone making it an ideal location for star gazing.
