A charity wants to put up information points across Foxdale to explain the history behind the area.
Foxdale Heritage is looking for permission to put up one of them off Mines Road in Higher Foxdale, with the organisation hoping to have up to ten of them dotted around the village in the future.
The signs would aim to tell people who visit the town about the social and architectural history, particularly with reference to the mining industry and associated railway.
The proposals are now subject to approval.
