A Douglas company says it wants to create a new outdoor planetarium experience - but will need planning permission first.
The Manx Dome, based at the Nunnery on the Old Castletown Road, has asked to build a temporary geodesic dome in a courtyard on the site.
Its founder Adrian Bell says the facility could show 360-degree immersive movies as well as help with education.
In his application, he says the Nunnery already has more than enough parking to cope with demand for the proposed new facility.
