The Department of Education, Sport and Culture has applied for planning permission for a mobile classroom at the college.
It says it wants the building near its horticulture enclosure to make it easier for students studying the subject at the facility on Homefield Road in Douglas.
In its application, the department says the site chosen is near to where practical lessons are taught and in a lockable compound.
And it adds it'll stop students tramping dirt and mud through the main building during bad weather.
