Efforts are underway to preserve a World War Two air raid shelter in Peel.
Peel Heritage Trust has applied for retrospective planning permission after moving the historical object to Daisy Field on Battery Road.
It wants to secure the future of the bunker which was originally sited near to the Cliffe Cottage building site and was at risk of demolition.
The town's commissioners will grant the trust a long-term lease on the new site subject to planning consent.
The shelter is believed to be the only one of its kind on the Island and has been used for educational visits in the past.
