A consultation into planning appeal laws will mean new legislation this year, according to the Island's Environment, Food and Agriculture Minister.
In Tynwald this week, Clare Barber faced queries about the cost of planning appeals.
She said appeals cost £335 - with an extra £125 if a hearing was needed.
Mrs Barber said a recent consultation meant changes to planning appeals were on the horizon:
