A planned strike by nurses next week has been paused while a new pay offer is considered.
Manx Care has made a further formal offer to members of the Royal College of Nursing, who will now be asked in a survey whether they accept or reject it.
They had planned to strike for 12 hours on October 18 and 19.
The revised offer would see a further 2.75% consolidated uplift on the 6% already awarded, equating to a 8.75% pay rise for 2022/23.
The strike action has now been paused while the union awaits the results of the survey.
Estephanie Dunn, Regional Director for the RCN in the North West, said: "We still have some way to go to really believe that the Manx government are investing in the sustainable future of nursing on the Isle of Man. This is about fair pay for a profession that is so valuable to the community, protecting the health and care sector on the island, and ensuring patients get the care they deserve.”
