The Manx Utilities Authority has applied for planning permission for a new sewage works in Peel.
After years of talks and delays, the MUA says it hopes to build the facility on land west of Glenfaba Road in Peel.
It says it doesn't own the land yet, but would buy it if the planning application is approved.
The Council of Ministers has decided not call in the application and decide whether it should be allowed.
