The Animal Welfare Bill will mean dogs and cats are given more protection.
New laws to protect pets on the Isle of Man will be brought forward next year, according to the environment minister.
Responding the questions in Tynwald this week, Clare Barber said the Animal Welfare Bill 2021 will create a "duty of care for all kept animals".
Currently Manx law only covers farm livestock but Mrs Barber said that's set to change:
