Pest Control in Douglas hasn't noticed an increase in work since the introduction of fortnightly bin collections.
That's according to Environment Minister Clare Barber, when asked what contact Environmental Health has had with Douglas Council in relation to the policy.
However, no consultation has taken place between organisations as the council isn't required to contact the department about changes to bin collections.
As of last week, requests for treatment for rats outdoors were down 50% from 2021, and the number of complaints of rats in houses were exactly the same.
